Drawing on findings from her book, Dr. Ewing will share the story of Chicago’s 2013 mass public school closures. The largest of such closures in the nation’s history, and the role of race and history in this policy decision. She will present lessons about the history, segregation, racism, and the future of America’s public schools, followed by a Q&A.
