Hosted by Sarah Lawrence College.
The theme for the First Annual Social Justice Summit at Sarah Lawrence College is Our Liberation in honor of Lilla Watson, activist, Aboriginal elder, and educator from Queensland, Australia. This is a call to all who work in the name of social justice who work, fight, and make space for change for us all.
The keynote speaker will be Dr. Eve Ewing, sociologist of education whose research is focused on racism, social inequality, and urban policy, and the impact of these forces on American public schools and the lives of young people. Event partner is AirGo Radio, a podcasters that showcases the strong young voices who shape Chicago and beyond, sharing their stories over the air, on wax, from the stage, and across the city.
